Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Department (Building Safety Department) includes the Building Official, a Building Inspector, and a Rental Housing Inspector. Their primary responsibility is the enforcement of the Minnesota State Building Code and Faribault Rental Licensing program regulations through inspections of new and remodeled units within the community.

The City of Faribault has averaged more than $42 million in construction over the past 5 years, and the inspectors do an average of 4,000 inspections per year.
