  1. Hometown Holidays @ Buckham Memorial Library

    Buckham Center will again host Hometown Holidays with family friendly events at the Senior Center, the Community Center, and the Library. Santa will arrive at 5:30 p.m. and will be available for meet & greet and photos at the Senior Center. The Community Center will have activities including the bounce house, games, crafts, carols and snacks. The Library will have live music by Mike Hildebrant & friends and will also be showing the movie Elf. This movie is rated PG and has a run time of 1 hour and 37 minutes. The movie will begin playing at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome.

The time you spend at storytime counts toward your summer reading to earn prizes! The last fall storytime is on Thursday, December 8 at 10:30am.

Books will be chosen by the readers from the library's collection or favorites can be brought from home. LittleBigRead meets weekly on Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted, on the youth side of the library. No registration is necessary.

    In December there will be a joint "MIXER" meeting of both Books & Brownies (grades 3-5) and Pizza & Pages (grades 6-12) on Monday, December 12 at 4:00 p.m. We will meet upstairs in the Great Hall on the library's 2nd floor. To prepare for this meeting, read at least one of the books nominated for the 2016-2017 Maud Hart Lovelace award. At the meeting, we will discuss the books we read while we enjoy brownies and pizza.
