Proposals are being accepted for the removal of the old City of Faribault Public Works garages as shown on the picture below and labeled as structures A & B. The garage structure(s) are to be moved off site. The structure(s) will be offered for sale by sealed bid with no minimum bid reserve. The structure(s) must be completely moved on or before Aug. 1, and all restoration completed as directed by the City. Any structures not sold under this RFP will be demolished under a separate contract process at a later date.
All permits, relocation costs, insurance requirements, and restoration costs for the structure(s) are the responsibility of the successful bidder. The successful bidder, whether moving or salvaging, will be required to clean up the site including all debris and remnants of the structure from the site.
A response to this RFP is due by May 31, and it is anticipated that the City Council will select the preferred proposal at the June
11 Council Meeting.
