Boomerang Bags Sewing Bees2019-02-19T10:00:00Do you love to sew or would you like to learn to sew? We need your help! Come to a Boomerang Bags Sewing Bee and help us create cloth tote bags for our community's Boomerang Bags initiative!
Boomerang Bags is a grassroots, community-driven movement tackling plastic pollution at its source. Volunteers from all walks of life get together to make reusable ‘boomerang bags’ using recycled materials, as a means to provide a sustainable alternative to plastic bags.
Seamsters under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult sewing companion.
No registration required. Come and sew!

Uke Can Make Music--Open Ukulele Hours2019-02-21T00:00:00This program is for all ages and is designed for people who want to learn more about playing a ukulele. The library has ukuleles on site to try out, and a person on staff who will teach you about the ukulele and how to learn how to play. You may also bring your own uke if you have one. We will go over the basics and show you additional resources for learning the ukulele. No experience necessary.
