  1. Downtown Walking Tour

    September 30, 2017, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Buckham Memorial Library

Get out and enjoy Faribault's wonderful downtown to kick off the Fall Festival on Sept. 30. Faribault’s Historic Commercial District, located primarily along Central Avenue, formerly Main Street, provides visitors with a clear vision of the town in the 1880s. The downtown area features well-preserved Italianate storefronts of local brick and limestone with impressive architectural details. In an era when malls and highways were unknown, Faribault’s downtown welcomed both commerce and celebration. Get an up-and-close look at some of the wonderful historic buildings led by tour guide and history buff Tim Madigan. Go beyond viewing the historic downtown and learn of its architecture and fascinating past. To sign up, visit Faribault.org, or call 507-334-2064.
