Kala Brand soprano ukuleles are now available for patrons to check out @ your library. Patrons with a library card may check out a ukulele for three weeks, just like a library book. The ukulele kit comes with a ukulele, bag, digital clip-on tuner, and instructional booklet. The booklet follows a color-coded method of instruction for beginners to follow and the ukuleles use a standard gCEA tuning. Patrons can teach themselves at home using the booklet, online resources, or print materials from libraries and music stores. The library also offers help for beginners on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 1:00-2:00, 2:00-3:00 and 6:00-7:00 pm. (Uke Can Make Music).
This gift of 24 ukuleles was donated in memory of Quinn Ohlsen through the Friends of Buckham Memorial Library.

March 5, 2019, 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Children's Programming Area
STORYTIME is intended for children ages birth - 6 years old with an actively participating adult caregiver. Storytime takes place in the children's area of the library on Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am
Join us in the children's area at the library for stories, songs, and fun! Storytime encourages language development and fosters a love of books and a lifetime of learning. Parents and caregivers will learn about early literacy and get tips on how to help their child become ready to read. Siblings and guests are always welcome.
Storytimes for 2019 begin on January 8 and continue through April 25. After a break, storytime will resume for the summer in June.
